Distilled from agarwood sourced from the green forests of Arunachal Pradesh, Kangtö is a remarkably crisp and clean interpretation of Indian oud.

A distillation built around the natural character of the wood — without soaking and without the heavy barnyard facets often found in non-resinous shavings. Kangtö has zero barnyard or off-putting notes, allowing the brighter aromatic qualities of the wood to shine.

OPENING — Crisp & Green

The first impression is fresh, sharp and aromatic. Fennel seed brings a dry, slightly sweet herbal spice, intertwined with the resinous freshness of pine needles and the distinctive nutty, green character of betel nut. There is an almost forest-like clarity to the opening.

HEART — Sweet, Bitter & Aromatic

As the oil develops, cacao nibs introduce a dark, slightly bitter chocolate facet. This is accompanied by a cool spearmint accord and a subtle caramelised sweetness, while green herbal nuances continue to run underneath, giving the heart an unusual contrast of cool freshness and dark gourmand warmth.

BASE — Incense, Camphor & Leather

The dry-down takes a darker turn. Smouldering incense becomes prominent, wrapped in a distinct camphoric coolness and the dry, slightly animalic texture of aged leather. Beneath it lies a deep woody character that gives the oil remarkable persistence and depth.
